SOUTHERN RIDGES
adapted from ma' blog.
Not long after my return, Janelle, Charlene, Mindy, Amanda (who had to resort to taking leave), Nessa and I went to check out for ourselves the hype surrounding the new Southern Ridges, enduring the unmerciful Singapore sun and humidity at 1:30pm (siao) all the way from Harbourfront MRT. And you know what......it fell sadly below our expectations. No doubt the man-made bridges and steel walkways were spanking new and modern looking, there was so little vegetation surrounding us it could have been a walk in the park opposite my house on elevated steel platforms. The sparse vegetation and hence even sparcer wildlife was a far cry from Lower Pierce boardwalk. Nevertheless, it was fortunate that we had good company of one another. how i love my cell..there's never a dull moment with you baboons.......... i mean Women of Virtue and Stature.

ohohoho (anime laughter)! all the SMU jumps. the reason is because We Are Different. Annnnd more pictures:-

Okay, i'm highly aware of the fact that nobody gives a shit about me and my flowers.. So i have decided to put it in a collage that contains scenes of Janelle and I doing Domestic Work in the kitchen like Subservient Women!

hahaha i know you can't resist that, so you have no choice but to look at the flowers and the latter at the same time.

How very desperate we are to have a nice little picnic in Singapore that we have to stoop to throwing one at a fake park, in a fake landscape, seated on fake (plastic) grass.

So to reward oursleves well for all the precious beads of perspiration spent on trekking the Southern Ridges, we lept onto one of our friendly and reliable airconditioned SBS buses that took us back to Vivocity where we had dinner at Sushi Tei, and where i satisfied my 25 day craving for Ika Tempura.
