anyway i picked out this book called The Oath by Frank Peretti from my sister's shelf and have been reading it lately. its a thriller about many murders in a shady town where everyone is under some sort of oath and cannot speak of the creature who is causing all these gruesome murders la. like trying to cover up for something which is killing all their people?!
anyway...its pretty scary la. scared the shite out of me cos i like to read at night before i sleep. so ive not been sleeping very well cos the way they describe the creature is very scary la! like dunno what it is...no form..dunno what size or what animal or ghost or what..but they only mention it has 2 golden eyes la, and thats the front cover of the book.
then the pple who will get killed by the creature is like they will know it is their time to get eaten and will voluntarily go to a certain place where the creature will devour them. then they know its their time when they see like a black oozing stuff coming out of their heart that area. then actually everyone has that mark but they are all hiding it from each other la. but still they want to protect this creature and not talk about it, and even kill those who want to kill it/ask about it.
sounds like quite exciting one la...but actually towards the end then i found out that the creature is actually a dragon, and the dragon is actually sin itself, and the black oozing stuff is like the mark of sin that is within the people. that altho they know it is killing them they still want to hide and protect it la.
then it starts to get a bit sian when this guy shows up and he is like a christian and the dragon like cannot touch him at all. then i realize this is a CHRISTIAN BOOK! wah lau...i thot it was a thriller novel la....
but its still quite good la, havent finished it yet.
but im abit scared now for real, like what if one day i wake up with black oozing stuff coming out of my heart? UGHHHHH so scary!!!!
anyway i describe until like sian one.
but its actually DAMN SCARY!
it is 1am now and i have to be up at 8am tomorrow and now i CANNOT SLEEP!!!!
